The MD of Fairview has a fire advisory in effect.

Under this advisory, unattended or unsafe campfires are not permitted.

Safe wood campfires, backyard fire pits, catalytic or infrared heaters, portable propane fire pits, fireworks, gas or propane stoves, barbeques, wood fires in an enclosed facility with a chimney, burning barrels (if they are 30 meters away from structures and 3 meters away from combustible materials) and charcoal briquettes in approved briquette barbeque receptacles are allowed, but the MD asks you do so with caution.

Controlled burns of large agricultural brush are also allowed if you have met municipal notification requirements and have a fire suppression plan.

The fire advisory will remain in effect until further notice and may be upgraded to a restriction or ban if necessary.
